Meet the Team

Our team of strength & conditioning coaches are experienced in working with high-performance and grass root individual athletes, squads and teams to enhance physical performance.

James Wild
James has delivered strength & conditioning coaching across multiple sports since 2002, working with athletes and coaches from regional to national and full international level. James is currently the Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach at Surrey Sports Park where he is responsible for the delivery of strength & conditioning services to a range of athletes and sport teams.

Outside of this role, James provides sprint biomechanics support to a range of high-performance sprint athletes and their coaches and is the author of 'Strength Training for Speed: Scientific Principles and Practical Application'

James holds an MSc in Strength & Conditioning Science and is completing a PhD in the biomechanics and motor control of accelerative sprint running at St Mary's University College. He is also accredited as a Strength & Conditioning Coach by the UK Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA) and the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Tom McCann
Tom currently provides strength & conditioning services to a variety of athletes, coaches and teams at Surrey Sports Park across a variety of sports. To date, Tom has worked across a diverse range of athletes and students ranging from school, college and university students to international athletes. 

Tom is currently completing an MSc in Strength & Conditioning Science at St Mary's University College. He is also an accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach by the UK Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA) and the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).
